October Stamp Club

Getting an early start on those Christmas cards using the Close to My Heart Snowhaven cardmaking kit.  Changed one card and used the October Stamp of the Month.  Made everything using the paper from the kit.  Kit also includes a stamp set, 15 cards and envelopes,  silver shimmer trim and red enamel hearts.

The cards on the left are the card #1 from Snowhaven  kit.  I changed it by shortening the designer paper and making it a pennant.  I stamped the border stamp, from the kit, above the silver shimmer trim.  Stamped the October Stamp of the Month polar bear in glacier ink.  Trimmed around the border.  Stamped again in cranberry ink and cut out the scarf and attached to polar bear.  Cut the frame from Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge in cranberry cardstock.   Attached with 3 D tape.  The one below I made the card the same and I used the Flakey Friends stamp and stamped snowman in black ink on white cardstock.  Colored in snowman using ShinHan markers.  Used bitty sparkles in snow falling.  Used the black side of the designer paper to back the snowman.

For the bag I used the Designer Creations Ruby Paper bags.  I cut the yo-yo from the Cricut Artiste cartridge (page 55 in booklet) at 1".  Instead of turning it into a rosette I kept it flat and attached to top of the bag using liquid glass.  I decorated with various scraps of paper from Snowhaven kit and stamped the polar bear from October Stamp of the Month. 

The bag topper was cut from a 4" x 4.5" piece of glacier cardstock. Stamped the snowflakes with glacier ink, tone on tone, randomly on cardstock. Fold in half.  Punch bottom of front bag topper with Triangle Border Punch.  Add strip of cranberry cardstock to back.   Stamped snowman from Flakey Friends and colored with ShinHan markers.  Cut out and attached to topper.  Made pennant with Love melts your heart stamp from Flakey Friends set.  Add silver shimmer trim and red enamel heart in place of the o in the word love. Stapled a 4" x 5" bag filled with starlight mints (didn't have mints when I made my sample so used candy canes) with Close to My Heart's mini stapler.
